Installation & Licensing

  1. Log into your Confluence instance as an administrator.
  2. Click the admin dropdown and choose Atlassian Marketplace. The 'Find new apps' screen loads.
  3. Locate Issue Read Status via search. The appropriate app version appears in the search results.
  4. Click on 'Try free' to begin a new trial or click on 'Buy now' to purchase a license for the Issue Read Status app. You'll be prompted to log into MyAtlassian if you're logged out. The app begins to download.
  5. Enter your information and click 'Generate license' when redirected to MyAtlassian.
  6. Click on 'Apply license'. If you're using an older version of UPM, you can copy and paste the license into your Confluence instance.


                    

Read Indicator Configuration

The user has to be logged in as an administrator to access the Issue Read Status configuration menu. By clicking on 'App', the Issue Read Status configuration menu is displayed on the left side of the sidebar. 


Specify here which users should be ignored for IssueReadStatus. The actions of that user/group are ignored and the issue will not be marked as unread.
